About the Artist

My watercolor paintings usually begin when I see something beautiful that stops me. It might be sunflowers or poppies in a yard as I drive by, and I park my car and get out to snap pictures. Later I choose a photo and use it to create a drawing. Then I paint, trying to capture the joy I felt on seeing the beauty that stopped me. My goal is to transfer that surprise and joy to the person who will look at my finished painting.
