Painting with oils has brought me great pleasure. I learned the basic principles from Helen Van Wyk and my Grandmother who painted in the style of Grandma Moses. 

   I paint many subjects from Egyptian art, landscapes and seascapes to portraits and to any other subject that comes to my mind.  My style varies  according to my mood.  What fun!  No restrictions.  Yes, I have even painted some abstract art.  I must admit--they are the most fun and reduce stress. 

   I retired after 33-years of nursing.  I painted during those years and will continue to paint as long as I can hold a brush!  Sincerely, Evelyn Jones
